Thomas W. Comer is a Partner in our New York City office and a skilled litigator with more than twenty years’ experience who regularly defends a variety of litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout New York on behalf of insurance companies and their insureds, corporation, corporate officers, municipalities and individuals. Tom is an experienced trial attorney having tried more than 40 cases to verdict and serves as trial counsel on behalf of an insurance company. He is also adept at resolving claims through mediation and other alternative dispute resolution methods. Tom’s experience includes a wide range of property and casualty matters, including construction defects, New York Labor Law, general liability, personal injury, premises liability, products liability, negligent hiring, retention and supervision, negligent security and Dram Shop actions. Tom also has extensive experience defending professional liability matters, including representing lawyers, physicians, hospitals, accountant and financial representatives. Tom began his professional career by serving as an Assistant District Attorney and Deputy Bureau Chief in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where he acquired extensive trial and investigative experience.
