Patti Potash, Partner Emeritus, is a founding Partner of Fleischner Potash, a former Management Partner and former Leader of the firm’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group.  From the start of her legal career in California through to her current practice out of New York insurance coverage has been the focus of Pattii’s legal practice.  For over four decades Patti has handled coverage litigation and bad faith claims, and has drafted coverage opinions, coverage communications, policy and contract wordings, insurance industry agreements, and responses to insurance department complaints for a multitude of clients, who include domestic admitted and surplus lines and international insurers, reinsurers, self-insured companies and risk retention groups.  Patti’s vast experience includes many different types of policies and coverage:  primary, excess, umbrella, reinsurance agreements, commercial general liability,  pollution, contractors, professional liability, environmental, E&O, D&O, contingency, financial, IP, and first party property policies,

Patti’s accolades over the years include SuperLawyer, Top 100 US Insurance and Reinsurance Lawyers Expert Guide, Top New York Women Leaders in the Law, and decades of AV Rating, the highest rating from Martindale Hubbell. Patti has also written numerous articles, lectured to insurers, third party administrators and insurance-related organizations and taught CLE and CE classes on a wide variety of insurance related topics, and educated underwriters and claims adjusters on the coverage nuances of new insurance programs and new types of claims.  

Patti has stepped back from management and ownership roles at the firm and stepped into a “semi-retirement” role. In this role, Patti will continue to provide legal services to clients and will continue to be available for consultation, education, mentoring and providing insight to the firm, its attorneys and its clients.
