John Capitani

Senior Associate

John Capitani is a senior associate in the firm’s Insurance Defense Practice Group and a resident of our Long Island office.  He concentrates his practice on civil and commercial litigation, medical malpractice, construction and contract litigation. John has represented institutional clients and construction companies in various commercial litigation matters and in catastrophic personal injury accidents.

John has significant experience in all areas of complex tort litigation, construction accident and defect claims, New York Labor Law matters, transportation law, medical malpractice and healthcare law, cannabis litigation and subrogation claims.

John began his litigation career in a midsize New York law firm, where he counseled and defended clients in all phases of litigation from inception through trial in numerous property damage and personal injury matters.  Having previously  practiced as a plaintiff’s attorney, John brings valuable insight to his assessment of claims.  John has been awarded numerous Super Lawyers accolades.  

In his spare time John serves as president of his cooperative board and volunteers at the Last Hope Animal Rescue.
